The LG GT500 has launched as a T-Mobile exclusive, described as a good all-rounder, available free on £25 per month tariffs.

The HSDPA 3G handset gets a 3-inch touchscreen and a 5-megapixel camera with autofocus, image stabilisation, digital zoom features and GPS technology.

As far as getting online goes, the phone can be used as a modem with a laptop, while the handset itself has quick links to sites such as Twitter and Facebook.

Music fans should note the built-in Dolby 2.0 sound and T-Mobile's multimedia offerings include Mobile TV and T-Mobile Mobile Jukebox.

Whether this is the same as the recently announced GT505, what memory capacity the phone has, whether it's GPS or A-GPS, what OS it runs and whether it has a 3.5mm jack are all unanswered questions at this stage.

The LG GT500 is available from T-Mobile stores now, with prices starting from free on a £25 a month tariff - but again we're waiting to hear how long those contracts are.

UPDATE: The phone is apparently "similar" to the GT505 but has a different design. Internal memory is 130MB plus a micro SD slot. It's A-GPS and offers a "proprietary LG OS", there is no headphone jack but does come with headphones in the box.

China is a place of what straight-forwardly called is ‘copycats’. Making products matching accurately with the ‘genuine’ western products and far too less (than the western ones) in prices is not a hard job for Chinese manufacturers. Although, Chinese products are a compromise over quality, they still attract a large attention towards them worldwide and especially in the developing countries because of their cheapness which hides to a large extent, their downside of being lower in quality. Added to this aspect of being amazingly cheap, Chinese products are in many cases have more features than their genuine counterparts. And some times they have such amazing features which we hardly have thought of. Now, there is a Chinese mobile phone which requires to be charged only once over a period of two years. I hadn’t thought of it earlier, had you?

china-mobile-2-years-battery-life.jpgNoticeable features including, the battery of 32800 mAh having such long stand-by time, 3″ touchscreen, 1.3 MP camera, dual-SIM support, 4 speakers, MP3 & MP4 player, Bluetooth, GPRS, WAP, e-book reading and English/Chinese hand recognition system.

Chinese creativity is not limited to a particular field but is found in whatever product they create. This mobile phone about which is written above has so much features and added to them are some other minor features not mentioned here.

In the end, its not required to say that gradually China is increasing its market share. The ‘weapons’ that China uses to achieve its goal are firstly the cheapness and secondly the number of features of its products.

China Mobile officially kicked off commercial 3G services on China's homegrown TD-SCDMA standard way back in January of this year and it's sparing no expense to build it out, but so far, only 3 percent of new subscribers -- that is, those that could easily get a 3G line and hardware if they wanted to -- are opting for the service. It'd be totally cool if 3 percent of China Mobile's total subscriber base were on 3G, but in reality, only about three-quarters of a million folks were signed up by the end of May -- and when you consider that there are nearly half a billion subscribers on the carrier, that's a drop in the bucket. Part of the problem could simply be that TD-SCDMA is unique to China, which limits hardware selection; its competitors are deploying HSPA and EV-DO networks, which may have a better chance of broad acceptance. Either that, or Chinese just hate fast wireless, and we're doubting that.
